The Futility of Gun Regulation

The United States ranks third highest in murders throughout the entire world. However, if you remove Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., and New Orleans, then the United States is fourth from the bottom in murders. Yes, we'd be at the lowest end of the global spectrum in gun violence. Now, what do these four cities that are dragging us down have in common? Two things:
  1. These cities have the toughest gun control laws in the country.
  2. These cities have each been under the Democrats' control for at least 50 years, if not more.
"One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation." -- Thomas Bracket Reed
